Adobe Illustrator CS2 is amazing. More specifically, "Live Trace" is amazing. It's described as- "Quickly and accurately convert photos, scans, or other bitmap images to editable and scalable vector paths". And that it does, and very well I might add. Here's the original "voodoo dude" sketch I did for the VoodooPad icon (done in Painter): ![]() Here's 4 different versions of it, after going through live trace with different settings: ![]() So what's this buy me? Well, zoom in and you'll see: ![]() The original is on the left. I can blow it way up without getting pixelated images. I'm just... amazed. It works really really well.
