I released a new version of VoodooPad this evening - 1.1a6. Only one or two new features in this build- it's mostly about bug fixes. The xml-rpc stuff isn't baked enough yet, so I kept it out. Hopefully it'll be there in the next release. I feel alot more confident about this release than any of the releases I've done before. I think the reason is because I've been more focused on bug squashing than new features lately. I've been reading various webpages about "agile development" and other methodologies, and I think it's starting to rub off on me a bit. One thing that I want to try and integrate is unit testing with something like OCUnit... eventually though. One thing at a time. Another thing that makes me confident is that I try really hard to get all the known bugs out before each release- but there are still a few where the solutions are avoiding me... but overall, I feel that this release is much better than the 1.0 release- I shutter to think of using that again with all the great new stuff in 1.1. So I think the plan now is to finish up the xml-rpc support, clean up as many bugs as I can, and then call it 1.1- then I'll take a little bit of time to do some light work on BlogShop, then it's off to 1.2 development. ... I also reworked some of the Flying Meat website tonight. I put up some new screen shots of VP, along with some new content. My favorite screen shot is this one, where I'm drawing a map using my Wacom tablet and Inkwell- and the map just plops right into VoodooPad. Now if I could only get that to show up on the iPod- that would perfect. OneNote, look out. comments (0) # posted 11:08 pm (uct-6) Here are some random pics I took on the way to work yesterday- carnage from the previous night's storm. And yes, I now have power again in my house. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What you don't see, and I wish I had gotten a picture of, is a big red SUV being crushed by a very large power pole. I mean huge. Seriously big. And it wasn't the only one down. I also saw a bunch more trees that were ripped apart from the highway, but I figured I better keep my eyes on the road. comments (0) # posted 12:22 am (uct-6) |
