![]() A much better icon. comments (0) # posted 10:15 pm (uct-6) XML Indent looks useful... compiled without any tweaking at all on Mac OS X too- I had written the same thing in java at one point- but this seems to be a bit faster. comments (0) # posted 10:04 pm (uct-6) So today I decided I needed more focus on what I was working on so I unsubscribed from a couple of mailing lists that I frequent. The first couple were AppleScript lists- I had joined those because I wrote a REALbasic plugin at one point that compiled and executed scripts at runtime, which seemed like a handy thing to do at one point. I never read the lists anymore, it's just delete-delete-delete, so it seemed like a logical thing to just sign off of it... The other lists that I got off of were REALbasic lists. I'm not really doing any more more REALbasic programming, and my interest has sort of waned off a bit. After doing Cocoa programming for the past couple of months in my spare time I've realized that I don't really care that much to do any more RB programming... coding in Cocoa is so much more fun. Apps writen in it just seem... better. I can't really put my finger on it, but they just seem more fluid. Granted, Cocoa has a much steeper learning curve, but as far as I'm concerned it's worth it. Objective-C rules. At some point I'll be as fluid in Cocoa as I am in RB, but that day isn't today. I don't think it'll be tomorrow either, but maybe by next Wednesday. comments (0) # posted 9:58 pm (uct-6) "Today be Talk Like a Pirate Day." according to Val. You have been warned. comments (0) # posted 6:35 pm (uct-6) So you want to hear about my latest rope burn? Ok, I'll tell you about it. Dan, myself and Mike were climbing at The Upper Limits last night, when Dan pointed out a new climb I hadn't noticed yet- A new route from Jesse- one of the uber-boulderers there. I remember him talking about it, saying he was going to put up a pretty hard one... so I thought no freaken way. But I'll try out the bottom just for kicks. So I walk up to it, and flash through the bottom without any problems at all. ... hrm, maybe I should try this one. So it comes around to my turn to get on the sharp end of the rope, and I start climbing this new guy. I make the first clip, all is good. I get to the second clip, and I can't let go of what I'm using to make the clip, so I grab a nice big hold (off route!) to make the clip and then get back on the right holds. Now the next clip is way to the right- so I just grab the really big hold I used before and clip it from there. So I'm to the left, and above the rope, and when I start making the moves to get past this next part.... wait for it... wait..- I fall. And the underside of my thigh got a nice big burn from the rope as I'm swinging it across the wall. Of course, like everytime I get hurt when I climbing, I don't notice it till I get down. And now it's the next day, and I definately feel it because we can't wear shorts today at work, and it's in a very inconvenient place. At least I finished the climb, and I even made all the moves save one at the very top that would have killed my fingers if I even could have done it. Fun, fun. comments (0) # posted 10:32 am (uct-6) mmmmmmmm - new mice from Logitech are coming out soon. Supposidly CompuUSA (hate hate hate!) have them already. I want.
