Pledge of Allegiance ruled unconstitutional

Lorraine sent me that link. I remember thinking about the "Under God" vs. the seperation of church and state part in 3rd grade, and I came up with the same argument in 1983 that the courts did today :)

Lorraine also sent me this great link- Semen makes women feel good

In the spirit of Cafe au Lait I'm going to start having a quote of the day... or at least a quote of the moment- because I want to be cool like Elliotte. (And he's not just cool because of that- he's also cool because I've got a couple of his java books sitting right next to me.)

So here's the first one:

"My general view on software engineering these days is that you really
don't know what you're doing until you've done it once, so just hack it
now and re-factor later."

There's a nice article by Chuck Shotton called Doctors vs. Geeks over on his blog. I've always like Chuck Shotton's work- I think he originally wrote the webserver behind WebSTAR.

Anyway, it's a nice little piece that makes me feel like maybe what I do might make a difference after all. (Hey- sprint has grabbed some of my code in the past :)
