I just discovered "Smart Playlists" in iTunes thanks to Bill Bumgarner. Wow. You can do some cool stuff with this- right now I've got a playlist (like bill does) that randomly selects music out of my collection and adds it to a playlist, which I just stick on my iPod and take with me to work and in the car. Cooooooooool. I've been wanting a feature like this. In other news, I've been working on GMJa again tonight. Fixing little things, adding skin support to the editor, and debating to to go about doing shared menus between the different admin apps. So far, I've been pleasently suprised at how well it's going. Eventually I'll release it under some sort of BSD license- probably once I feel it's complete enough to call it 1.0 or something. Right now I'm calling it 0.7+. Just in case you wondering. I'm sure you weren't though. Oh yea, and just for historical reasons, I think I should mention that I went climbing with Ryan Bradley last night at the gym. He spent the summer climbing up around Washington. He even got up Mount Rainier and some other mountains in the state. I saw the pictures last night, lots of snow. Brr. He's planning on doing a bunch of big walls this next year, including El Capitan. I think I might be going with him on that one if I can. comments (0) # posted 9:14 pm (uct-6) An amusing thread on cocoa-dev. At least it's amusing to me. comments (0) # posted 7:39 pm (uct-6) Weird. I'm on the modem, and the phone rings. I pick it up and talk to someone on the other line. I go back to the computer, and I'm still online. That's a first for me. comments (0) # posted 7:20 pm (uct-6) This page right here is starting to become my favorite page on the new java.sun.com website. comments (0) # posted 6:49 pm (uct-6) From c.a.r.s.: In one example, the company took credit for hundreds of thousands of copies of Windows that were sold for $1 to Gus Lopeski of Sandhurst, Ill. comments (0) # posted 9:25 am (uct-6) Well, my mac at home is no longer the fastest Macintosh you can buy. Apple just came out with some dual 1.25ghz machines- mine is a dual 1ghz. Still, I think it's some kind of record- this is the longest I've ever had a machine that was top of the line... almost 8 months. :) comments (0) # posted 8:13 am (uct-6) |
